The Downtown Billings Public Art program seeks to build a permanent collection of public art that demonstrates the highest levels of artistic excellence, enhances our cultural identity, inspires civic pride, and serves to broaden our citizens’ understanding of and day-to-day experiences with art.
The DBA’s Public Art programs enhance and activate public places visited by citizens and tourists. We feature a broad range of artists working in a variety of media which celebrate our unique history and cultural diversity. We continue to provide examples of the success and need for such programs as steps towards the adoption of a percent for art policy – something much overdue in Montana’s largest city.
