Downtown Dogs

Docky Boy is a young English Pointer. He likes hanging out at the gallery on his ottoman watching people walk by. Sometimes, his nose gets the best of him but he likes to run, explore, and smell everything he possibly can. He loves everybody and makes friends a little too easily sometimes.

Meet Scooby, a self-proclaimed mutt. He loves to hang out anywhere around the Babcock. Even though Scooby is an older boy, he still loves chasing after his ball. If you want to be friends with Scooby, all you have to do is give his ears a good scratch!

His most common downtown hang out is: Rock Creek Coffee Roasters

Otis is a distinguished mutt who decided to trade the ranch life for the city life. He loves coming to work with his dad at the Patten, Peterman Bekkedahl, and Green Law Office. He enjoys getting treats and belly rubs from his co-workers. Otis loves greeting clients and making sure they are taken care of. His favorite part of the day is going to visit his friends at the post office. When he isn’t at the office, Otis spends his free time back at the ranch helping his dad.

Meet Maximus, a Chinese Crested Powderpuff. Other dogs like Max are usually hairless, but Max got the ultra-rare fur gene! Max lives downtown with his humans and loves laying on the back of his couch and watching the traffic on N Broadway.

His most common downtown hang out is: Max also enjoys walking on the cool grass of the Court House lawn and hanging out by the trees near Rock Creek Roasters.

Magnolia, a schnauzer mix, hails from New Orleans and is sassy southern lady with a heart of gold.  She loves tennis balls, squeaky toys, and belly rubs. Her favorite part of coming to Downtown Billings is going to work with mom, meeting new friends, and getting lots of attention.  She loves being a “working dog” and enjoys staff meetings when she can get love from everyone at the office. Her favorite downtown hang out is the Downtown Billings Alliance office, Rock Creek, Bar MT, and Thirsty Brewing Company. 

Celly was adopted by her Pawrents from Billings Rez Dog Rescue as a puppy. She is a Lab & Australian Cattle Dog Mix. She’s a happy calm dog that loves balls, antlers, playing with other dogs, her family, and rolling in the grass. She enjoys “going to work” downtown with her mom and even more loves being walked around the downtown streets so she can sniff and say “hi” to everything.  She has her own Instagram page @Cellythehockeydog

June is a Mini Australian Shepard who loves to greet people at the Downtown Billings Alliance. She is always happy to play a game of fetch and bring her wiggle butt over for pets!

Indy was rescued from Kansas City Pet Project as a puppy and was gifted to his mom as a Christmas Gift. He is a Lab & Akita Mix who likes to travel with his humans. He’s a friendly, calm dog that loves to hike, take naps, wear bow ties, play in the snow and watch movies with his humans. He enjoys “going to work” downtown with his mom and even more loves heading over to Rail Line Coffee for a pup cup on their patio on a sunny day.

Greyhound, loves to race friends at the dog park and drink whiskey coffee. Fun fact: I got her when she was 3 weeks old and had to bottle feed!

Her most common downtown hang out is: Campfire Hour Podcast Studio- 2815 Montana Ave.

Iggy Smalls is a bundle of love and personality that came to Montana via Texas. Iggy lost his eye in a dog attack, so he’s skittish around other dogs, but he’s working really hard to overcome it. He loves to meet all people, but just make sure to approach him on his good side, otherwise he won’t be able to see you and it might catch him off guard. He loves snuggles, peanut butter, belly rubs, denim, and is OBSESSED with hoses.

His most common downtown hang out is: Anywhere on Montana Ave

Vesper is a sweet pit bull who loves nothing more than being Downtown and meeting everyone she can. She’s calm and sophisticated (as much as a puppy can be).

Cyrus, a is an eager to play pit bull, 5 years younger and completely opposite of his sister. Ready at any minute for a good game of ball or tug. He’s got the most loving, goofy personality that always makes you smile. Cyrus gives the best puppy hugs and wants to kiss every other puppy and human he meets.

When they’re not Downtown, these puppies love to go hiking and swimming in the mountains. If you see them, give them a big high-five!

Their most common downtown hang out is: On chair at the Historic Billings Depot or in the middle of MoAv collecting as many pets as they can from morning coffee goers.

Jake is a Rottweiler/Bernese Mountain Dog mix. Jake was rescued from Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter. He is the most mellow dog you’ll ever met until you turn on the water hose and he goes nuts!! It’s a great way to cool down the big hairy guy in the summer. Jake loves hiking and biking and really just wants to be with his people no matter the activity!

Summer the little yellow lab lives on 29th street and loves to keep an eye on things from her window. She’s known to be on her daily walks around downtown but she lives for the trails! Summer has her own Instagram page for you to follow her adventures @summerdapup

Lilly, a McNab Border Collie, was found in Worland, Wyoming activating the electronic doors at Shopko. Her dad quickly adopted her and she has been a faithful companion since! She loves going on car rides and walks, and exploring anywhere her dad lets her! She spends her downtime sitting on top of the couch (despite her mom’s wishes) keeping watch over the front yard.

Dargan, a German Shorthair Pointer X American Labrador Retriever, was adopted from Rimrock Humane Society and has been attached to his parent’s side ever since! He enjoys his lazy time on the couch, but even more, he loves finding pheasants with his dad every fall!

Meet Marlee, a super social Shih Tzu. She is a very sweet pup and loves everyone she meets. Marlee loves her job as the official greeter at Montana Vintage Clothing and
would love to show you all her dog toys. When Marlee isn’t working, she enjoys taking a nice stroll downtown.

Moose is a 160 lb male Harlequin Great Dane. He loves peanut butter, playing tug, sitting on your lap, and hiking! He’s also extremely needy so any attention you can give him the better.

His most common downtown hang out is: Bethany Joy Pilates

Cali is a B.A.R.K. rescue dog who is a nice mix of Yellow Lab and Akbash. This sweet girl is loved by everyone she meets. She will gladly be your personal shopper at Billings Army Navy Surplus. When she’s not helping customers, Cali loves playing in the water, treats, car rides, and of course, scratches. Cali also enjoys trips to the drive up bank with her human.

Winnie may look both looks and acts like a puppy but this lady has brought her people joy for over a decade now! Winnie is an adventurous little gal who also loves to snuggle and nap. She also loves long walks downtown and to chase her favorite butterfly toy until she’s ready to snuggle again! Definitely the best friend ever!

Laney is a mature pit bull mix mutt who loves greeting shop customers, running on the trails, and hanging out with her favorite humans. She knows a bunch of entertaining tricks and wants nothing more than to please, but a treat definitely motivates as well!

Sammi is an English Springer Spaniel and former bird dog. She’s lost her hearing with age so her people decided it was time for her to retire from the bird dog life. While deaf,  Sammi still loves people, including children. She still knows a few tricks and loves a short hike now and again, but her favorite things to do now include greeting visitors at Zest, napping in the shade, and getting her belly rubbed.

Cooper is a full bred Brittany Spaniel. He is bred and trained to pheasant hunt with Derek but on his off season he loves to “point” bunnies and squirrels. Cooper is great with our kids and is super loyal to his owner, Derek!

Eep is a young golden retriever female. She is a therapy dog and loves people. Her favorite things are: kisses, new friends, squeaky toys, and treats. She likes long walks (on the beach at the park or anywhere she gets to run) and animated movies about squirrels.
