The 30th Annual Strawberry Festival is coming to downtown Billings Saturday, July 10, 2021!
The Strawberry Festival is downtown’s largest street festival that includes over 100 Arts & Crafts booths, food trucks, and live entertainment. This community event is organized by our team here at the Downtown Billings Alliance (DBA). We are a non-profit organization that promotes and advocates for a vital city center through programmatic and place-making elements like event management, business development effort and projects, TIF district management, public art, green space development, and other downtown beautification projects are incredibly proud of this thriving program and the beauty and life it brings to the sidewalks downtown.
We need some extra helping hands 🤲🏻 to make this large event a successful and fun community event.
Volunteer Opportunities for the July 10, 2021 Strawberry Festival Include:
Vendor Check In (5:30am – 8:00am)
Sign up to help ‘shepherd the flock’ of festival vendors as they arrive for morning set-up. Includes free coffee (because it’s needed) and morning snacks.
Info Booth, Water & 50/50 raffle ticket Sales (2 hour shifts available from 9:00am – 4:30pm)
The info booth is stocked with all the most common Q & A’s, vendor maps, and weather depending, there will also be bottled water for sale at the info booth located just below Skypoint. Volunteers in this position will interactive with the public and will need to be able to do some basic math skills.
Vendor Balloon Distribution (1.5 hour shift available at 8:00am – 9:30pm)
Meet us at our info booth to help the team inflate balloons (using our helium tank), attach strings, and distribute the balloons to the festival vendors who are offering strawberry/berry items. We’ll provide you with a list of vendors and a map to make distribution simple.
50/50 Raffle Ticket Sales (1 hour shifts available from 10:00am – 2:00pm)
The 50/50 raffle tickets help fund the Light Bike Trail, a new downtown Public Art & Safety Project. Stroll around the festival with red balloons selling raffle tickets to festival attendees. Volunteers in this position will interactive with the public and will need to be able to do some basic math skills.
