At the end of 2023 word spread in the downtown neighborhood that a new locally owned restaurant, Mediterranean Soul, will soon be opening in the downtown space where Pita Pit had been (2713 2nd Avenue N.). The new restaurant’s menu will include Shawarma, and Döner fare.
This news comes in conjunction with the owner’s of Billings’ Pita Pit publicly announcing the permanent closure of their downtown location. The Pita Pit ownership included included in their announcement that they intend to focus their efforts on their Grand Avenue location.
