The Montana Brewing Company is preparing to host their 19th Alive After 5 this Thursday, July 14 on N. Broadway from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. The July 14 event features the band Repeat Offenders. The Repeat Offenders recently played on N. Broadway in March at our downtown St. Patrick’s Day celebration, however, they have not played on our Alive After 5 stage since 2015. At the time, their 2015 show was said to have broken the Alive After 5 attendance record. The band shared on their Facebook page yesterday (July 11, 2022) that they are up to the challenge of bringing another record breaking crowd to N. Broadway.
We feel very confident in their ability to make the Montana Brewing Company’s Alive After 5 one of the largest of the year. The stage will stand under Skypoint again to add 2nd Ave North to the closure and offer up even more space for everyone who wants to attend.
The Alive After 5 summer concert series is in its 19th season and is presented by our team at the Downtown Billings Alliance and Valley Credit Union. The weekly concerts take place outdoors at a different downtown location Thursday evenings from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, June 16 to August 4, 2022.
Admission is free to the public, however, those 21 and older wishing to consume alcohol will need to purchase a wristband for $2.
Each Alive After 5 has a special V.I.P. area with seating, tables, free ice-cold water, and easy access to one of the event bar locations. Admission to the V.I.P area is $10. This July 14 date is the first ever to have a fully sold out V.I.P area.
The Repeat Offenders are a Billings based cover band, but they say they aren’t “your daddy’s classic rock band”. They cover songs from the 1980’s all the way to current hits. The band recently played a free concert at the Snow Creek Saloon in Red Lodge, Montana. They not only packed the house but they also raised $530 for the Carbon County Disaster Relief fund.
This crowd pleasing band consists of Kenn Patterson (Vocals), Dusty Young (Drums), Steve Shelton (Bass), Jon Verbeck (Guitar), and Jay Fuson (Guitar). “No matter the size of the stage or the size of the crowd this band never fails to bring big energy, fun music, and a pantload of positivity to the event.” Richardson shares.
Alive After 5 is coordinated annually by the DBA. The DBA is a nonprofit organization whose mission is downtown vitality and economic development. Valley Credit Union is the producing sponsor of the 2022 Alive After 5 concert series. Their annual sponsorship helps the DBA book the many local, regional, and national bands. This event would not be as successful without our other supporting sponsors: TDS Fiber, Planet 106.7, Zone 96.3, Classic Hits 105.9, KSKY 94.1, KBEAR 98.1 and event sponsors First Interstate Bank and PureWest Christie’s International Real Estate in Billings.
