About Western Pawnbrokers

Western Pawnbrokers has grown to be the oldest pawnshop in Montana, pioneering many lending regulations that are mandatory in the industry today. Owners Bert and Andy Nelson have been offering fair loans and fair prices on unique, new and used items to generations of customers. Services include bail bonds, consumer loans, and pawn loans.

In 1975, Bert Nelson was seeking a career change that would get him out of his Missoula office and back to eastern Montana. He ended up opening a little pawnshop on Montana Avenue in Billings, Montana.

Soon he moved 30 feet west to the historical J.D. Losekamp Building. Built in 1903, this 18,000 square foot building sports a 16-room hotel on the second floor. It housed cowboys and travelers in the good old days and is still operating today. Western Pawnbrokers still operates in this same location in the heart of downtown Billings.

The Losekamp building has been home to many other businesses as well. Nelson added the Farwest Gallery to the store in the 1990s. The gallery carries unique Montana Native American art and western collectibles including an incredible array of beadwork and jewelry. Welcome to Mitchell Golf of Montana. What started in 1977 as a small (2,000 square foot) teaching, repair, and custom club shop run by Golf Professional Bill Mitchell, has turned into a 15,000 square foot Indoor Golf paradise. In 2002, Bill moved the store to our current location in downtown Billings with the goal of giving Billings and the northwest region a Golf Superstore. About Brockel’s Chocolates

Gary and Patty Brockel started making their handcrafted chocolates from their own unique recipes and some of the original Wilcoxin’s recipes in this shop 35 years ago. They both are actively working in the shop with their two daughters. Jodi is learning the recipes and art of candy making along side her parents. Jaci is Brockel’s customer service expert and shop decorator. Brockel’s is the old fashioned mom and pop shop making and serving their chocolates as a true labor of love to their customers.

About Ceilon Aspensen Fine Art

Ceilon Aspensen has been a passionate artmaker her entire life. Watercolor painting, drawing with colored pencils, painting in oils and acrylics, have filled her with joy for decades, and sharing her art with you completes that cycle of joy.

Ceilon also teaches art classes for adults to help them explore their own creativity and follow their creative passions.

While most of my art is inspired by the beauty of nature around me, my art is also infused with the experiences of being raised as an Army B.R.A.T. in France and Germany for the first ten years of my life, having spent all of my childhood summers on the family farm in rural Alabama, having lived in Montana since 1989, and several stints in between totaling about ten years in western Maryland and Baltimore. Those diverse cultural experiences, the beautiful landscapes of Germany, rural Alabama, the Rocky Mountain West, the Appalachian Mountains, and the colorful, urban experiences of Baltimore, seeped into me throughout my life and now flow out into my artwork.
