About This House of Books
The Billings Bookstore Cooperative has a very simple mission: Build an independent full-service bookstore in downtown Billings and turn it into a literary & cultural hub for the city. Using the cooperative model means that we give book lovers a chance to own a piece of the store and participate in its success. Our store is in the heart of downtown Billings, convenient to the Billings Library, Rocky Mountain College, MSU Billings, the Alberta Bair Theater, and other literary and artistic destinations.
We opened at our first location on N. Broadway, October 1, 2016 and moved the store to it’s current N. 29th St. location in the summer of 2021.
