About Asylum Distillery
Asylum Distillery Inc. was incorporated in 2017 with a vision from owners Bob Ochsner and Ted Reichert to produce handcrafted, small-batch, high-quality spirits. This distillery began by pairing distillers of high-quality spirits and extraordinary moonshine who had a goal to produce fine barrel-aged whiskey and bourbon.
Pairing spirits and moonshine in the distillery carries over into the tasting room where mixing of all the products results in a unique tasting experience. All spirits served are made at Asylum Distillery.
What started as a plan to convert an abandoned building that once was an Asylum into a distillery ended on Montana Avenue. The Asylum theme just stuck. We hope you enjoy the Asylum theme, it has been fun to see these ideas come to life.
