The Billings Public Library is pleased to be a partner with local high school senior Elizabeth Berns to bring a Hope Tree to the City of Billings.
The Hope Tree at the library will be adorned with tags that library visitors will inscribe with messages of support, hope for the future, and love for those suffering from depression and to raise awareness about suicide prevention.
This project is supported by the GFWC Billings Junior Women’s Club through a donation of self-help books for children. The books are available beside the Hope Tree supply table in the library lobby.
In keeping with the BPL’s Platinum Leeds status, all materials and supplies associated with the Hope Tree are biodegradable and environmentally friendly.
The Hope Tree Project will be active from May 28 through September 1.
