Dinner in America
April 16 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
$9
Wednesday, April 16th, we will be continuing our exciting April series, COVID CASUALTIES: THE LOST CULT COMEDIES OF 2020 (a celebratory series of cult films that never got their true chance to shine due to being snubbed by the pandemic), at Art House Cinema and Pub with a special screening of Adam Rehmeier’s spectacular rom-com drama, DINNER IN AMERICA! This film is a striking story of unexpected love found through a reluctant situation is that is equally moving and incredibly funny. Painting a prominent and realistic picture of the punk subculture within the decaying regions of the American Midwest with an adorable outcast love story at the heart of it all, DINNER IN AMERICA is a chaotic love letter to the punks and the weirdos is an absolute must-see!
When a punk musician named Simon is accused of assaulting someone, he attempts to burn their house down and goes on the lam. While evading the police, he meets Patty, a young woman obsessed with his band, and the two go on a reckless journey through Midwestern suburbs, and they begin to form an unexpected bond to one another.
