Billings Public Library is proud to announce that Library Con is back! On November 2nd , from 10:00 AM –3:00 PM, the Library will celebrate the Heroes & Villains of science fiction and fantasy with a schedule of panels, demos, kids’ activities, and a vendors’ room full of local artisans. Attendees can strut their stuff in our epic costume contest, enter our first ever fanart contest, have a treat from one of our food vendors & more.
Special guests include authors ML Smoker & Natalie Peeterse, Almedia Ryan, Lloyd Watson, and MH Van Keuren. In our Kids’ Zone, you’ll find Billings Best Balloons, a green screen photo booth, and fun
activities led by Wise Wonders, wargamer Riley Olsen, and mother & daughter artists Jennifer and Briah Ard. The Friends of Billings Public Library are co-sponsoring our special guests.
Our Vendors’ Room is full of local artisans who will have creations to purchase, and we are planning
demos and tables for more guests including Haan Puppets, The Council of Westmarch, the Free Little
Library, the 501st Legion and Mandalorian Mercs.
Art’s Paper & Paint is sponsoring our fanart contest, generously supplying $25.00 gift cards for the
winners in three age groups, which will be determined by a judging panel that includes special guest
judge Louis Habeck. Prizes will also be awarded in our costume contest, including a special prize for the best cosplay interpretation of our Heroes & Villains theme.
