8 Year Old Billings Boxer with Downtown Billings Ties Competes in National Tournament

8 year old boxer, Adriel Bear Don’t Walk is from right here in Billings. She trains at Billings Elite Amatuer Boxing Club located inside old catholic church across from South Park on S. 29th Street. Adriel has been training since she was approximately 6 years old. She has fought in a number of exhibitions and is fighting on Saturday, February 5th in Independence, Missouri for the National Silver Gloves title.

Adriel’s father, Randy Bear Don’t Walk, works for the Rimrock Foundation as a Peer Support Specialist out of the Downtown Billings Alliance office. When asked about what lead Adriel to boxing Randy said;

“It basically came down to basketball or boxing during the start of the pandemic. As a single father, it would have been hard to do both. So we agreed to choose one. She chose to box. She loves jump rope, being creative, reading and enjoys playing the piano.”

Randy and Adriel expect this to be the first of many big tournaments for the young boxer and thank the community for all the support it’s shown helping her get to the tournament in Missouri.
