42nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Celtic Fair

March 15 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

This annual FREE community event has been a tradition in the Billings community for 42 years. It features a parade of over 40 festive floats along with the Celtic Fair & Street Party that fill the streets below Skypoint with the scent of street food and the festive sound of music, cloggers, bag-pipers.

 

Break out of your winter hibernation and enjoy a festive atmosphere at the year’s first large outdoor event with family-friendly activities, food trucks, a FREE concert on Broadway, and more.

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Celtic Fair coordinated annually by Downtown Billings Inc. & presented by Hooligans Sports Bar.

  • Parade Kicks off at 11:00 am
  • Celtic Fair 11:00 am to 3:00 pm
  • Street Party w/ concert Noon to 3:00pm

All entries are required to decorate in a Spring/St. Patrick’s Day theme. Avoid any plain vehicles or trailers from being part of your parade entry.

Sponsorships for this event will be finalized by end of January 2025. This event is presented by Downtown Billings Inc. and Hooligan’s Sports Bar and supported by Signature Sponsor Heenan and Cook Trial Lawyers, and Event Sponsors Valley Credit Union, MariMint, TDS Fiber, Classic Hits, My 105.996.3 The ZonePlanet 106.7 , and KSKY 94.1. ⁠


Event resources

The parade route used for this parade was introduced in 2021, the parade route does not cross N. 27th St. The route begins at 2nd Ave. N. and N. 32nd St.(near Granite Tower). The route heads east on 2nd Ave. N. (toward Skypoint), turns north (left) on N. Broadway, and turns west (left) in one block onto 3rd Ave. N., ending at N. 32nd St.

The float staging are takes place on streets just west of the parade starting point (between Division and N. 32nd St.). View a detailed map of the staging area in the Participation Packet info below.
