Another one of our staff members will be celebrating their birthday with us at the historic Babcock Theatre very soon! This month, our staff member, Hannah Thompson, is one year older, and she is celebrating with a special screening of a film of her choice, which happens to be Guy Ritchie’s phenomenal 2000 crime comedy, SNATCH, Friday, February 21st! Widely considered Ritchie’s best film, SNATCH excellently blends comedy, grit, style, and noir elements to create a unique, energetic film that simultaneously pokes fun at crime thrillers while successfully becoming one of the best out there!
When illegal boxing promoter, Turkish, convinces a gangster named Brick Top to offer bets on a bare-knuckle boxer named Mickey, Brick Top becomes furious when Mickey does not throw his match as discussed and demands another. Amid the heat, fellow gangster Frankie Four Fingers come around to place a bet for a friend with Brick Top’s bookies, leading to a number of incompetent criminals looking for a score ganging up to locate the stolen diamond Frankie has brought with him to London to sell!
