It is with sadness that we announce that the 19th Annual Downtown Trick-or-Treat event on Friday, October 30, 2020 is cancelled.
The trick-or-treat event is coordinated each year by the Downtown Billings Alliance (DBA) and made possible by the participation of over 60 downtown businesses. This year, the DBA surveyed it’s membership, made up of over 200 downtown brick and mortar businesses, and 60% of the respondents voiced that they would not participate in a trick-or-treat event this year. The popular community event draws approximately 8,000 people to the streets of downtown each October. Both the survey response and knowledge of the amount of people drawn to downtown for this event helped the DBA Events & Promotions Committee members feel confident in their decision to cancel the 2020 Downtown Trick-or-Treat as the novel COVID-19 virus remains a public health issue.
The DBA looks forward to the return of all of the community’s favorite events in the future.
