About ArtWalk Downtown Billings

ArtWalk Downtown Billings began nearly three decades ago, in 1994, when a group of visionary folks created a recurring event to highlight the ever-growing community of artists and art galleries in downtown Billings. These events are hosted six times a year on the first Friday of every other month starting in February.

All ArtWalk events are free. The events are organized and paid for by Season Members, One-Time Participants and generous Sponsors. Look for the ArtWalk signs as they designate ArtWalk locations. Artists frequently attend. Food and beverages are often served, and live music is offered at various locations.

In addition to the many fine arts and fine crafts offered for sale, ArtWalk often includes opportunities to make art, family activities, gallery talks, dance, live street theatre and interactive events. Hosts include galleries, art studios, businesses, a downtown Billings church, non-profit entities, professional offices and other locations that value the creative spirit that thrives in downtown Billings.
