Cushing Terrell’s annual golf classic fundraiser held at Pryor Creek Golf Club in August was a great success. The event raised more than $24,000 for RiverStone Health’s Kid Connect programs, which connect children and families throughout Yellowstone County with vital resources.

“This is more than a gift. It’s about expanding access to care for folks across the region. It’s children and families. It’s WIC and SNAP when WIC and SNAP are in question. It’s about improved nutrition and health outcomes, and reducing food insecurity. Thanks to [their] generosity, more kids are going to have the opportunity to get care and guidance, and hopefully have a stronger foundation for a better life. It’s all about imagining, creating, and improving our community, one kiddo at a time.”

Jon Forte, CEO of RiverStone Health

Kid Connect is part of RiverStone Health’s comprehensive care model, which includes a federally qualified health center and a wide range of public health services. Their programs include:

  • Yellowstone Valley Child Advocacy Center: A one-stop center supporting the legal and healthcare needs of child maltreatment victims across Eastern Montana.
  • Nurse-Family Partnership: An evidence-based program aimed at strengthening families through nurse-led support for parents-to-be.
  • KidsFirst: Provides essential medical, dental, and behavioral health services for infants and children in the foster care system.
  • Welcome Baby: An initiative offering resources and support for new parents navigating the challenges of early parenthood.
  • Women, Infants & Children: WIC contributes to healthy pregnancies, healthy babies, and helps young children be ready to learn.

We’re so pleased to have RiverStone Health Foundation as the beneficiary of this year’s Golf Classic. We’ve had the privilege of providing design services for RiverStone Health’s facilities for more than a decade. And while we’ve always enjoyed participating in RiverStone Health’s own annual golf tournament, we wanted to step up our game and do even more to help support the beneficial services they provide to our community.”

Now in its tenth year with a named fundraising beneficiary, the Cushing Terrell Golf Classic has surpassed $150,000 in cumulative funds raised. Over the years, this event has supported a diverse group of impactful local organizations, including the Billings Family YMCA, Boys and Girls Clubs of Yellowstone County, Moss Mansion, Alberta Bair Theater, The Family Tree Nurturing Center, Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch, and ZooMontana.
