Teen Poetry Workshop
April 5 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
FreeTEENS (6th – 12th graders) can join MSUB Professor and Montana Poet Laureate, Tami Haaland on April 5th, 4pm – 5pm at Billings Public Library as she guides us on a journey of self-expression through poetry about animals!
In his poem, “Dog’s Song,” Robert Wallace portrays a dog who imagines what an ant would see: “Ants look up as I trot by / And see me passing through the sky.” During our time together, we will read poetry about grizzly bears, ladybugs, and other creatures. You will have time to write about encounters you’ve had with animals in the wild or in the city, and we’ll have time to share ideas at the end of the workshop.
Register ahead of time by visiting https://billingslibrary.org/396/Teens to let us know you’re coming!
