Billings Public Library hosts Montana Conversations “Once Upon a Time…. Story Telling with Mo” with Mo Reynolds on February 11, 2023.
The program is at 1pm in the Royal Johnson Community Room.
The presentation is free and open to the public.
Great adventures begin with, “Once upon a time,” everyone knows that much. But, some of the greatest adventures begin with the words “Did I ever tell you about that time.” Listening to stories and telling our own fosters connection, thought, and real-life application of timeless truths. Mo Reynolds is a storyteller that travels around Montana and the country telling stories to audiences of all ages. She performs folk tales, fairy tales, and stories from her own life, weaving them together with humor and heart.
Mo performed at the National Storytelling Festival in Tennessee in 2022 and this year will travel to Utah, South Carolina, and Kansas to perform at festivals. Storytelling creates connection, inspires confidence, and encourages empathy. She will perform a set of stories for all ages. No matter our age, we all love those words, “Once upon a time. . . ”
After being a showcase teller for two years, Mo was invited to be a featured storyteller at the Florida Storytelling Festival in 2020. She recently earned the Diamonds in the Dust Diamond Award Scholarship in 2020 to help build her YouTube channel, where she posts storytelling episodes to spread the art to a broad audience around the world.
Funding for Montana Conversations is provided by Humanities Montana through grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities, Montana’s Cultural Trust, and private donations. And funded in part by coal severance taxes paid based upon coal mined in Montana and deposited in Montana’s cultural and aesthetic projects trust fund.
