The Coen Brothers first and only Best Picture winner, 2007’s No Country For Old Men, based on the novel by Cormac McCarthy, is a tense thriller that sinks its hooks into you and doesn’t let go. The first mainstream role for Javier Bardem as a sadistic killer as he hunts down Josh Brolin while Tommy Lee Jones searches for both men, this cat and mouse game is a masterwork of cinema, and a perfect film to revisit as Oscar Night 2021 approaches.
