“Belonging Beneath The Big Sky” Mural

June 4 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Free

Belonging Beneath the Big Sky, a teen-created mural, is a collaborative effort where teenagers will work alongside professional artist, Tara Williamson, to explore the subject of “belonging” through the creation of a public mural in the Teen Education & Creation Hub (TECH lab) at Billings Public Library. Join us for our first meeting on June 4th at 1:00pm in the TECH Lab. Snacks will be provided! This will be a multi-week project and all meetings and painting will occur on Saturdays.

Tara Williamson has completed murals in Hillsboro, OR., Cody, Wy., and Metteettsee, Wy. She also recently created the logo for the skate park in her home town of Red Lodge, MT for the Hellroaring Skate Park. Tara looks forward to blending her art education background with her experience creating murals to mentor teens at the library in order to create something beautiful and meaningful.
