Billings Public Library will host an unveiling event for the teen created mural, “Belonging Beneath the Big Sky”, a large indoor work of art housed in the library’s Teen Education and Creation Hub (TECH Lab). The event will occur on August 27, 1pm – 2pm with light refreshments available. This collaborative mural was designed and painted by teenagers with local artist, Tara Williamson. The mural explores what
“belonging” means to the teen participants.

This project is supported in part by a grant from the Montana Arts Council, an agency of the state government, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Tara Williamson has completed murals in Hillsboro, OR., Cody, Wy., and Metteettsee, Wy. She also recently created the logo for the skate park in her home town of Red Lodge, MT for the Hellroaring Skate Park.
